Southsea Castle is now closed for the winter, except for the following days:
Open Tuesday - Sunday, and Bank Holiday Mondays, 10.00am - 5.00pm, March - October. Closed on Mondays (except for Bank Holidays). Last entry is 30 minutes before closing time.
On the weekend of 23-24 August 2014, Southsea Castle will be included within the grounds of the Victorious Festival, which is taking place on the Southsea seafront. Admission to Southsea Castle will be included as part of the festival ticket, and only festival ticket holders will be able to visit the Castle on these days.
The Yellow Kite café is to be found in the Western Bailey of the castle through a courtyard garden. Yellow Kite is a catering company run with a commitment to good food and providing social good – set up as a social enterprise this unique catering company offers a cup of the best coffee in town and also provides exclusive catering for the events at the castle. Car parking Car and coach pay and display parking is available near the museum, including in the D-Day Museum car park, and on Clarence Esplanade and the Avenue de Caen. Travelling by public transport Southsea Castle is roughly the same distance from both Portsmouth Harbour, and Portsmouth & Southsea train stations.
